Turn on a Dime - Kade's Turn

Turn on a Dime - Kade's Turn - Tiffany Snow Loved Kade's POV. I hope she ends up with him.

No Turning Back

No Turning Back - Tiffany Snow 5 stars

It has suspense, romance, hot men, a not annoying main character, murder, mayhem, humor and mystery. What's not to love?

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo - Stieg Larsson DNF at 10%

I might return to this one at a later time. It was just moving too slow for me to get into it right now. Maybe I'll give it a go when things slow down for me. But maybe not... life is short and there are so many more books to read, that don't require this much effort. We'll see.

Play

Play - Kylie Scott 4/5 stars

I liked this book more than the first one. Mal is - mostly - great. There is some unnecessary drama. But Kylie Scott knows how to write likeable women. Nice read.

Lick

Lick - Kylie Scott 3 stars.

Overall, I liked it and I liked that she at least tried to stand up for herself. But I wasn't a fan of the drama in this book and that kind of ruined them for me.

Dirty (Dive Bar)

Dirty (Dive Bar) - Kylie Scott 4/5 stars

This was a cute story. I liked that Lydia stood up for herself and she was funny. If you're looking for a fun, sweet, short book that's a tiny bit predictable, than this is your book. I was looking for something light and I really enjoyed it. some parts were really funny and I like the extra characters. Vaughan was great and I enjoyed their blossoming relationship. I do wish the ending of the book was a bit slower, it felt a little rushed. But all in all, it was quite enjoyable.

The Player and the Pixie (Rugby Book 2)

The Player and the Pixie (Rugby Book 2) - L.H. Cosway, Penny Reid I really liked this one. It was cute and very funny at times. It was a bit of a different set up than the usual romance books these days and I'm sure you'll love it if you enjoyed the first one.
I'm looking forward to reading the next book in this series

Maybe I'll write a better review when the flu isn't making my head explode. But be sure to give this one a try!

Paper Princess

Paper Princess - Erin Watt, Elle Kennedy, Jen Frederick 4.5/5 stars

I haven't read many great books lately and seeing all the good reviews for this one had me worrying if I was going to be the odd woman out yet again (as seems to happen with lots of other popular books).

But... this book was awsome. It's been a while since I just couldn't stop reading and the book seemed over way too damn fast.
There are 5 hot boys, gossip girl-like bitchyness, it's much less YA than I worried it would be, a bucketload full of angst, fun, intrigue, secrets and a heroine - who was suprisingly not annoying.
You should give it a try.. right now.

Or maybe you should wait until the next book comes, Because seriously? What is with that cliffhanger? There better be some kind of blackmailing involved from that bitch. It has to be something like that - involving the DNA test and the fortune?. But even then it's disgusting.
I wish I would've waited to read this one until the next book was out. The wait is going to be extremely long.....

I'm not going to ruin the story for you. It seemed weird to me at the beginning, but just stick with it. The royals will grow on you and when the book is over you'll feel like your favorite plaything just skipped town.

Kinky Bastard

Kinky Bastard - C.D. Reiss 2/5 stars

In short:
The writing itself wasn't bad. But this story just really wasn't for me. I feel like I've read this story 10 times before and I just don't care about the characters. It was okay until about 60% in, where something happens that completely ruined their relationship for me. I'm supposed to swoon for an ass who ditches her to sleep with other women and stands at 'full mast' in front of another naked woman? Even though he didn't actually sleep with her, he's an asshole and I didn't want them to end up together after that.

Not my kind of book. Though my major bookslump propably isn't helping things. Maybe I need to read a different genre for a while.

The Edge of Never

The Edge of Never - J.A. Redmerski 2.5-3/5 stars

I know everyone loves this book, but it was a bit of a let down for me. I liked their trip and I knew something was coming, but I didn't like what came, when it did. When finally I got over that, you have all this emotional built up and then... nothing. I didn't like the epilogue and it felt very rushed. I kind of wish it ended on a sad note now. I dislike books that are only written to make you cry.

Love, Chloe: a standalone novel

Love, Chloe: a standalone novel - Alessandra Torre 1.5-2/5 stars

I'm sorry, but just do not care about this book, these characters or the storyline. Not one bit. Nada.
I know quite a few people really liked this one. But the story has been done before, there was no connection to the characters and the storyline wasn't very exciting.

Don't read on if you don't want to read some spoilers.

- Chloe was not a very interesting character. She was a spoiled brat who lost all her money. She makes some bad judgements along the way and ends up a bit more grown up than before, while hardly anything happens.
- Vic was an ass, and not of the good and sexy kind. Totally not believable as a love-character.
- Carter may very well have been great guy, but he remains very 'flat' and we don't really get to know him. He's just there one second and all of a sudden they are in love and he is this amazing guy we're all supposed to swoon for. But again, nothing really happens with them but sex and their love just wasn't very believable.
- I did sort of like her friends and Clarke, the husband of her boss. But they are not very involved in the story.

In all honesty, some things do happen, but none of it could hold my attention. It just felt distant.

All in all: she learnes there is a life outside of the filthy rich, they fall in love within minutes, no feelings really come across, boring characters all over the place and a storyline that has nothing new to bring.
I finished it mostly because I was wondering if it would get interesting at one point.

Love Unscripted

Love Unscripted - Tina Reber 2.5/5 stars

It started out great and I really liked the first half of the book and both Ryan and Taryn. But I don't know, the last part just didn't do it for me. The book was just too long and because of that their relationship just dragged on where nothing really happened, except highlighting their insecurities. Insecurities that kept getting rehashed and rehashed and by the end I was kind of over it and wasn't a fan of Ryan anymore. Some things are also really predictable. "I was also a week late" You just know when that gets thrown in there is a pregnancy around the corner. And DING DING DING, there it was.

Then the 'big drama' hits and it didn't really touch me... at all. Her reaction was over the top and I was getting kind of sick of the two of them and their mess. And then at the end:
Hey! We have a crappy relationship and can't communicate and don't trust each other, so ofcourse were going to get married and live happily ever after!

The more I think about it, the more I start to dislike this book. But I'm leaving it at 2.5/5 stars, because I did really enjoy the beginning. I am very disappointed it went downhill so fast, though and I'm not sure if I'll read the next book.

Dawn of Forever

Dawn of Forever - Jewel E. Ann 4.5 stars

Yay, I finally took a tiny break from studying for my exam and finished it!
I loved it. It was a great ending to a series I didn't really enjoy at the start. It has gotten gradually better as the story went on and this book was the cherry on top of the - pretty messed up - cake.

I'm off to find my own Jones (Both dog and guy)!

Jake Understood

Jake Understood - Penelope Ward It's very late so I'll just say this: I liked this one better than the first book :)

Jake Undone

Jake Undone - Penelope Ward I really liked the first 2/3 of the book. It was fun, sexy and a little different. But it lost me with the last part. I don't want to read about him and other stuff that happened. It also got very predictable and mushy. I don't know, I was disappointed with the last part.

Cocky Bastard

Cocky Bastard - Vi Keeland, Penelope Ward 4.5 stars

I really enjoyed this one. It turnes out different than I though It would and like that :) It has some very funny moments and a few very steamy scenes.

I really want a pet goat now!
