4/5 stars.I liked it, but I didn't love it. I usually don't enjoy the switching between different times, but I enjoyed both equally here and it was easy to follow. I didn't really think it was an emotional book, even though a lot of reviews are saying it is. I liked both characters and I liked the little girl. I though his reason for leaving in the past was a bit lame and predictable and the ending felt a bit rushed.
