1. His mind is not a very fun/nice place to be.2. You have to read the trilogy first, but this one doesn't really add that much to the story in my opinion. If you really liked the trilogy, I think you'll like this one too. If however you - like me - thought it was mostly okay, but long winded and nothing special. I'd say: skip this one or just read the short epilogue.
