Behind the Hands That Kill

Behind the Hands That Kill - J.A. Redmerski 4.5 stars

I'm so sad that I've reached the end of the series for now. I can't wait for the next book. I can't really say what it's about without ruining it and the rest is already in de blurb :)
It's interesting, fascinating, dark, twisted and fun. By all means give it a go (but do read the others first if you haven't already).

This is a very addicting series. I need the next book now :(
Though some of the future books are not what I want to read next. Do we really need another fredrik and Seraphina book? Well, I don't anyway.

I read that most people don't want a love triangle. I personally just really want Niklas and Izabel to have a chance. Victor is just.... lacking, imho.

The Black Wolf

The Black Wolf - J.A. Redmerski Loved it.
Still rooting for Izabel and Niklas. I like him more than Victor. Now quickly on to the next book, the ending was surely intruiging.

Seeds of Iniquity

Seeds of Iniquity - J.A. Redmerski My favorite of the series so far :)
The 'big suprise' was predictable, but I liked it anyway.
A unique, fun and addictive way of telling a story.

Four Letter Word

This is most likely a seriously bad case of it's not you, it's me. What I thought about it in short:

1. No grown-ass self-respecting woman should proudly call the guy she is dating 'her boy'. And if she must, don't bother others with it.. like have it appear on almost wvery page. It got so tiresome and creepy. And don't even get me started on the amount of 'shits' and 'fucks' in this book. I mean.. sometimes it fits the person and the situation, but it starts to get annoying when you have to read it every other sentence.
2. I just didn't feel it. I didn't really care about anything that happened to the characters and the hero fell short for me.
3. The first half of the book was decent (3 starrish) but the second half went downhill fast. It was just boring. Nothing interesting happened and since I didn't care about the characters either way, I had a really hard time getting through it and I skimmed a lot during the last 25%.

I guess this just really wasn't for me. But be sure to give it a try for yourself, you might like it very much. There are quite a lot of 4-5 star reviews out there.

Checkmate: This is Love

Checkmate: This is Love - Kennedy Fox 3.5 stars

It was a nice read. I'm not usually a fan of the direction their storyline took (Sorry! I'm not going to spoil it), so that may be a factor in the lower rating.
It's an ejoyable book and I liked some parts maybe even more than the first book.
I did feel like other parts of the book were a bit slow, or nothing really happened. I wanted more... angst and conflict. It's mostly fighting between several characters, sexy times (even a bit too much sexy times) and fighting their love. It feels like they are in limbo for most of the book.

But, be sure to try it for yourself, you may love it :) Especially if you enjoyed the first book.

Checkmate: This is War

Checkmate: This is War - Kennedy Fox Some things I liked, some things I didn't.
It was funny at times, they had great chemistry. But they go around in a circle for a bit too long, and they're both bit too drama-queeny.
I love that I did not predict that cliffhanger though and I really want to read the next book now.

All in all, around 3.5 stars.

Say You Want Me

Say You Want Me - Corinne Michaels Even though it doesn't say that this is the second book in a series, it is. It can be read as a stand alone, but it does seem to give away the ending of the first book, which I wish I'd known before I read this one.

Six of Crows

Six of Crows - Leigh Bardugo I'm not sure.. maybe 3.5 stars?

Very - very - difficult to get in to, a bit drawn out, impressive, long, good batch of characters.

My mind is all over the place. Not the easiest book to get through. I had to push myself at times to read on, but that is probably my personal taste. This is a not a type of book I often read. I am curious how it ends though in the next book.

RoomHate

RoomHate - Penelope Ward 3.75 stars

Royally Screwed

Royally Screwed - Emma Chase In short: it was fun, sexy, a bit emotional and maybe a little bit predictable. But it was exactly the kind of book I wanted to read right now. I loved it and I can't wait for the next book.

Twisted Palace: A Novel (The Royals)

Twisted Palace: A Novel (The Royals) - Erin Watt 3.5 stars

I was really looking forward to this one and I'm a tiny bit disappointed. It was an okay read and it was good to be back with these characters. I love the royals, especially Easton (and Reed before, but a little less here). I just feel like nothing really happened in this book except for right at the end. The rest of the book is a bit slow and revolves around Nothing. The relationship between Ella and Reed didn't feel as good as it did before and I don't know, it was just my least favorite book of the series. But I did love the series and I will read another book from these authors.

If you enjoyed the series so far, read this one as well. It's entertaining and well written. Just not the shocking masterpiece I was hoping for.

The Goal

The Goal - Elle Kennedy I'm going with 3 stars for this one.

In short: Well written, loved Tucker, didn't hate Sabrina. A bit too much back and forth and there was a long time where nothing really happens. I liked seeing all the other characters again, although I've forgotten quite a lot from the other books.
I'm not a huge fan of this type of storyline, so it could just be me. I felt bad for Tucker sometimes and felt like hitting sabrine with a smelly old fish at other times. I alsp missed some of the banter that I loved in the other books.
But it's not a bad book and Elle Kennedy knows how to write. If you liked the other books, give this one a try :)

I'm looking forward to the spin off. I think it's going to be about Fitzy?

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - J.K. Rowling Reread. Love this series. I forgot how long it was though. It took quite some to read it.
The writing and plot of this series is very good. I still love it, after all these years.
I haven't liked anything from J.K. Rowling since this series though, but I guess we'll always have Harry Potter.
If you haven't read it? Get of your high horse and read it this instant! Now! go!
It's better than the movies (although they really aren't bad voor movies that were based on a book).

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince - J.K. Rowling, Mary GrandPré Reread.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix - J.K. Rowling, Mary GrandPré Reread. It's still a great series
